During the whole car ride, Carina had been utterly quiet; staring out of the window with a frown touching her lips. The way Lucas talked to her, she really wasn't expecting a phone call from him. It was just too...awkward to talk to him right now. Holding her cell phone in her lap, she glanced down at it, and pursed her lips slightly. "I need a quick shower." She murmured, not wanting to look up at her older brother. She knew he'd pick the hint up, take her home, let her shower and then possibly go and pass out on her bed. Not that she was tired, she was far from it. It wasn't long that they drove into their house, and it wasn't long after that she took a quick shower, got dressed in a white, thick cotton sweater and a pair of jeans. She knew there was work to be done today, but it could wait. For a few moments.

Somehow, she had ended up agreeing to go out for some coffee - even though she wasn't in the biggest mood for it. Which was unusual for her. She loved that stuff. It always kept her awake and going. Letting her curls fall around her shoulders, she grabbed some money and tucked it away into her pocket before heading back down stairs and into the living room; tapping against the side of his head. "Ready, Mitch." She muttered, heading out of the door and then to the car. Once again, they were on the road. She decided to leave her cell at home, but to take her camera. Maybe it would help her forget. But, she knew it wouldn't. It made her wonder how her brother could from relationship to relationship - then again, they were different people in their ways. Sitting up, Carina turned a bit and pulled the camera up to her eyes; closing on and snapping her finger against the button a few quick times. Taking those few pictures of them, she glanced down at her camera and bit her lower lip; sighing and glancing out of the window.

"I feel stupid." She said, out of blue and looked over at him; as they pulled into the cafe's parking lot. Pushing her way out of the car, she wrapped her camera around her shoulder and walked to the side walk; waiting on her brother to join her. She knew that he'd cheer her up, because those talks wasn't really something he did. And, in a way, she respected that. He didn't pry, or ask those deep questions, unless he knew that she was really upset. And she was, but she didn't know if she could handle talking about it right now. She felt like her and Lucas' friendship went down the drain, lost to that night. A wonderful, but dreadful night. Following him into the cafe, Carina took a quick glance around - dreading to see Lucas' face, but he never showed. Which, she had no clue why she was looking for him. Shaking her head, looked around the cafe for a moment, before looking at Mitch. "So, what veil and evil plan do you have cooked up for today?"
